Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Employee Relations Business Partner to provide guidance on employee relations matters, supporting leaders with disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and termination reviews. The ERBP collaborates with HR, Legal, and other teams to ensure consistent, compliant actions aligned with company values while managing multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field with 2 years HR/ER experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Direct experience supporting disciplinary actions, PIPs, and involuntary terminations.
• Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws and union avoidance.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all employee levels (exempt, non-exempt, corporate, and field).
• Strong coaching, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time; remote work eligibility.
• Ability to collect, understand, interpret and share data effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an ER subject-matter expert advising leaders with investigations and timely syntheses.
• Use Workday and ServiceNow to review disciplinary actions, PIPs, and termination reviews.
• Partner with ER, HRBPs, Legal, and other teams to align with company values and priorities.
• Interpret and educate employees on policies to ensure consistent, fair applications.
• Own assigned ER cases within the case management system and Ethics Hotline.
• Analyze ER trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Promote a positive ER environment and open issue resolution with HR Partners.
• Assist with information gathering related to legal complaints and charges.
• Serve as a backup for ER intake and conduct less complex investigations.
• Perform other ER duties as assigned.
