Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Employee Relations Business Partner to guide leaders on employee relations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans. The role emphasizes collaboration with HR, Legal, and ER teams to ensure fair and consistent handling of matters.

The ERBP will manage multiple cases, maintain timely communications, and rely on data to identify trends and opportunities while supporting remote work with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with HR/Employee Relations focus; 2+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience supporting disciplinary actions, performance plans, and involuntary terminations.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and union avoidance.
• Ability to communicate across all levels and exercise sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ER subject-matter expert, guiding leaders with investigations and disciplinary matters.
• Review disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and termination reviews using systems like Workday and ServiceNow.
• Partner with ER team, HRBPs, Legal to align with company values and priorities.
• Interpret policies and educate stakeholders on compliant practices.
• Own and document ER cases within case management and Ethics Hotline.
• Analyze ER trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with HRBPs to foster a positive, transparent ER environment.
• Assist with information gathering related to legal complaints and charges.
