Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking an Employee Relations Business Partner (ERBP) to provide expert guidance on employee discipline, performance improvement plans, and involuntary terminations, collaborating with HR, Legal, and leadership teams.

The ERBP will manage multiple cases, conduct investigations, and partner with the ER and HR teams to ensure fair, consistent processes while leveraging Workday and ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field and 2 years' HR/ER experience, or a master's with up to 2 years' experience, or 6 years in a related field.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; capable of handling sensitive information with discretion.
• Experience supporting leaders with disciplinary actions, performance plans, and terminations; knowledge of employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Advise leaders on employee disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
• Review involuntary termination requests and related investigations with the ER team and Legal.
• Partner with HR Business Partners, Legal, and other departments to ensure compliant, consistent processes.
• Interpret policies, educate stakeholders, and champion compliance across the organization.
• Own and document ER cases in case management systems and Ethics Hotline.
• Travel up to 25% and support 100% remote work with occasional in-person meetings.
