Motorola Solutions, via its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer for USSOCOM engagements to bridge RF engineering with defense customer needs. The role involves supporting technical demonstrations, field trials, and interoperability across multi-domain environments.

You will collaborate with Applications Engineering and Business Development, travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs, and may have a remote-work option depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Citizen due to clients under U.
• Practical experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++) for test automation.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate the technical capabilities, interoperability, low-signature performance, and field-readiness of StreamCaster MANET radios across multi-domain, tactical edge, and uncrewed environments.
• Support USSOCOM acquisition stakeholders and Component Commands with field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to leverage continuous testing and benchmarking data to verify solution architectures.
• Align work with strategic priorities alongside the Business Development team.
• Build and present technical demonstrations tailored to low-signature, resilient, and tactical edge operational needs of USSOCOM and component commands.
