Job summary

ITnova is seeking a detail-oriented IT Equipment Refresh Technician to support DoIT's Enterprise Computer Lifecycle Refresh Project across Maryland. You will deploy, configure, and replace desktops and laptops for state agencies, imaging Windows 10/11, migrating data, and ensuring asset inventory accuracy.

Travel throughout the State using a personal vehicle may be required. Must possess a valid driver's license, be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds, and deliver professional, responsive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of desktop support or field tech experience.
• Experience imaging Windows 10/11 desktops/laptops.
• BIOS updates, imaging, software installation and hardware configuration.
• AD domain joins and user login support.
• Data migration between legacy and replacement devices.
• Knowledge of desktops, laptops, tablets, printers and peripherals.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, network, and OS issues.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and enterprise apps.
• Accurate documentation using ticketing systems and inventory records.
• Experience maintaining IT asset inventory with asset tags and serials.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel statewide using a personal vehicle and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and replace desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripherals for State agencies.
• Image Windows 10/11 devices using DoIT gold images.
• Prepare new equipment with BIOS updates, domain joins, IP config, and hardware setup.
• Install/configure OS, productivity software, printers, docking stations, and peripherals.
• Assist end users with setup, login, data migration, and software config.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, network, and OS issues with DoIT staff.
• Integrate desktops with Active Directory, file servers, and email systems.
• Remove legacy gear and relocate retired devices to onsite storage.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory with tags, serials, assignments, and locations.
• Digitize deployment records and upload to approved repositories.
• Update ServiceNow tickets and equipment trackers per guidelines.
• Collaborate with DoIT teams to resolve issues and support remediation.
• Deliver professional, responsive customer service and communicate progress to users.
• Travel statewide to perform refresh activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
