Job summary

Insight Global seeks a PC Refresh Technician to support Virginia state agencies in the Greater Richmond Region. The role involves traveling to multiple executive branch locations, transferring data, reinstalling applications, and troubleshooting per procedures.

It starts with 2–4 weeks of training shadowing current technicians on site, before independent work. The position requires reporting to sites, a valid transportation method, and ability to pass required background checks.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting desktop/laptop systems; deploying and disposal of devices.
• Must pass VITA background check and Commonwealth Agency clearance (DOC, VSP).
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites and stay overnight.
• No imaging required; training provided before independent work.

Responsibilities

• Travel to executive branch agency locations across the Greater Richmond Region and surrounding area.
• Transfer data from old machines to new ones and reinstall applications.
• Troubleshoot system issues and follow established procedures.
• Work with minimal supervision after training.

Day to Day:

Insight global is seeking a PC Refresh Technician for a project supporting the State agencies of Virginia. This Refresh Technician will be responsible for traveling to all executive branch agency locations across the Greater Richmond Region and surrounding area. Day to day responsibilities include transferring data from one machine to another, reinstalling applications, troubleshooting, and following procedures. There is no imaging. We are seeking entry-level candidates who are flexible with work hours/locations and have a reliable source of transportation. This resource will start with a 2-4 week training (shadowing current technicians onsite) before beginning to work independently.
