Job summary

Rula is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to join the Partnerships Referrals & Conversions team, shaping scalable referral pathways for partners and patient experiences. You will design durable systems, mentor engineers, and partner with product and design to deliver impact to our partners and their members.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development and rapidly reducing time-to-value while maintaining reliability and security in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

8+ years of related professional experience.
Strong API design, security, performance, and scaling.
Experience leading complex technical projects across teams.
Excellent communication with partners and stakeholders.
Fluent with Claude Code and other AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

Lead design of referral management systems and partner data flows.
Mentor engineers and raise technical standards across the team.
Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to ship solutions.
