Job summary

Rula is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for the Partnerships Referrals & Conversions team. You will shape system architecture, mentor peers, and deliver scalable referral pathways for partners and patient experiences.

You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to align technical decisions with business goals, while leveraging AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code to boost velocity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep understanding of modern application design, APIs, security, performance, and scaling.
• Ability to lead cross-team technical projects and align with business goals.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Familiar with AI-assisted development tools and assessing their value and risk.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evolve scalable referral management systems.
• Lead technical initiatives across partnerships, referrals, and conversions teams.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the org.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to deliver value quickly.
