Coinbase, a remote-first company with quarterly in-person surges, is hiring a Staff Design Researcher for the Platform team. You will set research vision across Identity, Payments, and Developer Experience, translating insights into product opportunities and shipped solutions.

You’ll lead research programs, drive high-quality design deliverables, and influence senior leaders through compelling presentations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in user research and product design.
• Ability to operate at a strategic level and influence senior stakeholders through research-driven insights.
• Expert-level proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma or equivalent).
• Track record of building research practices, operating models, or measurement programs at scale.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs.

Responsabilités

• Define and own the research practice for Platform, setting vision, strategy, prioritization, and engagement models.
• Own and run Platform's CSAT program, designing surveys, cadence, analysis, and reporting to leadership.
• Conduct and lead generative, evaluative, and mixed-methods research with engineers, product managers, and customers.
• Drive process and execution for high-quality design deliverables, including prototypes and visual storytelling.
• Partner with senior leaders as a cross-functional lead in strategy planning, influencing roadmaps via research.
• Improve design consistency and contribute to design systems, building repositories and scalable research frameworks.
• Coach and mentor designers and product partners on research rigor and design craft.
