Job summary

World Wide Technology (WWT) seeks a Software Engineering Supervisor to provide first-level leadership for a software delivery team. The role blends player/coach responsibilities, coaching, and mentoring to ensure on-time product delivery.

You will collaborate with Solution Engineers, Project Engineering Supervisors, Prod Ops, IT, & Quality peers to grow and support product solutions while modeling best practices and supporting team development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or engineering preferred.
• 5+ years progressive experience in a related field.
• Previous experience managing project initiatives across multiple IT and business organizations
• Experience with various development methodologies/technologies

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and promotes WWT core values and best practices.
• Grows and develops members of their team, understands their goals, and works with them to achieve.
• Manages talent for direct reports; responsible for compensation, performance management & promotion for direct reports.
• Escalates and removes impediments from the team to help them be as effective as possible.
• Works with the team to provide innovative technology solutions to business challenges that align to strategy and technology standards.
