Job summary

TikTok is seeking a strong video codec verification engineer to design hardware accelerators for advanced video encoding and processing. You will join a fast-growing team with experts across algorithm, architecture, software, firmware and hardware design.

The role emphasizes high-coverage verification environments, system-level simulation, and efficient flow automation. Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of ASIC/SoC verification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Microelectronics, Computer Science, Electronic Communications, or a related field.
• 1+ years of working experience in ASIC/SoC verification.
• Mastery of SystemVerilog and UVM methodology, with the ability to independently build IP-level or SoC-level verification environments.
• Proficiency in mainstream simulation and debugging tools (VCS/Incisive/Questa, Verdi, etc.).
• Exceptional debugging and logical analysis skills; proficient in Python/Perl/Shell scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Verification Planning: analyze architecture and design specs to develop high-coverage test plans.
• Environment Development: build automated testbenches and components (Scoreboard, Monitor, Sequence) using UVM.
• Test Execution & Closure: develop test cases, run constrained-random and directed tests, achieve 100% functional and code coverage.
• System-Level Verification: gate-level simulation and timing, assist FPGA prototyping and co-debugging on emulation platforms.
• Flow Optimization: develop regression scripts and automation tools to improve verification efficiency.
