Job summary

Dutch Bros Coffee in Columbus, OH is seeking a Shift Lead to uphold our vision, culture, and core values on every shift. You will serve as a servant leader, guiding the crew and communicating feedback to leadership while handling the core shift responsibilities.

The role requires 32+ hours per week with a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends, and involves training and inventory support to ensure smooth shift operations.

Qualifications

• 6 months of Broista experience preferred.
• No disciplinary action for the past 90 days, required.
• Disciplinary action is defined as a coaching conversation resulting in the completion of formal documentation with signatures.
• Prerequisite to employment is to obtain and maintain a Food Handler Permit/Certification as required based on state/local regulations.
• Ability to complete, pass and maintain mandatory certificates, training, and knowledge tests under the Dutch Bros required standards for company policies and federal, state, and/or local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the experience for every Broista on shift that ensures a mind-blowing experience for every customer.
• Cultivate the Dutch Bros atmosphere and standards on shift ensuring that Broistas are meeting all expectations; help solve problems on shift.
• Manage the shift - responsible for ensuring Broistas are prepared for any specials or promotions and have the right energy and attitude for the customer.
• Be an expert on drink and operational fundamentals to execute Broista training: Primary responsibility is to model and meet all expectations of the Broista role.
• Train new Broistas operationally and culturally while providing a fun-loving, mind-blowing environment.
• Set Broistas up for success by covering all aspects of the Manifesto during training.
• Aid your Shop Manager and Shop Lead in shop inventory management, support, and other delegated duties: Set up the next shift for success in all areas: counting tills, bank deposits, restocking products, putting inventory away, meeting cleanliness standards, etc.
• Communicate with your manager and share wins and opportunities for improvement with your shop leaders.
• Be a good role model.
• Attend mandatory meetings, know your resources, and adhere to all company policies and procedures as laid out in the Shift Lead Field Guide and Employee Handbook
• Aid the Shop Manager and Shop Leads in Inventory
• Aid the Shop Lead and Shop Manager in ensuring shop setup and cleanliness standards are met
• Work with the Shop Lead and Shop Manager in following up with Quality Assurance inspections and accountability process
