Job summary

ECOLAB is seeking a Principal Platform Architect for ServiceNow in Minnesota. You will own the architecture, standards, and governance for the platform, leading a team of architects and engineers.

The role combines hands-on design with strategic direction across integrations, data flows, and AI-enabled operations. You will drive enterprise architecture practices, lead technical reviews, and partner with product and business teams to ensure scalable, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field.
• 12+ years of software engineering and architecture experience with ability to personally make and defend design, integration, and delivery decisions.
• Proven people management experience with direct reports and leadership responsibilities.
• Deep hands-on ServiceNow architecture, development, and platform governance experience across core modules.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and standards for the ServiceNow platform across integrations, data, platform architecture, AI, security, and UX.
• Define solution blueprints, reference architectures, and technical standards; produce enterprise architecture grade documentation.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical decision making across the ServiceNow platform and enterprise systems.
• Directly manage, mentor, and grow a team of architects and engineers, including hiring and performance management.
• Translate business problems into scalable technical architectures and align the right solution.
