Job summary

ECOLAB is seeking a Principal Platform Architect for ServiceNow in Naperville, IL. You will own architecture, standards, and governance for the platform, lead a team of architects and engineers, and drive cross‑platform design decisions with a focus on AI-enabled operations.

You will translate business needs into scalable architectures, mentor staff, define reference architectures, and ensure secure, compliant, high‑quality solutions across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related technical field.
• 12+ years of software engineering and architecture experience with design, integration, and delivery decisions.
• Proven people management experience with direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, standards, and governance for the ServiceNow platform including integrations, data, security, and UX.
• Define solution blueprints, architecture references, and enterprise documentation.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical decision making across the platform and connected systems.
• Drive technology strategy, roadmap, and AI-enabled operations for platform capabilities.
• Stand up a formal architecture practice with gates and governance for changes and releases.
• Lead the architecture bench and mentor engineers toward higher design quality.
• Translate business problems into scalable technical architectures and communicate costs and feasibility.
