Job summary

Ecolab is seeking a Principal Platform Architect to own the architecture and standards for the ServiceNow platform. This hands-on leadership role includes shaping design, integration, and delivery, while mentoring a team of architects and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 12 years of software engineering and architecture experience.
• Proven people management experience with direct reports.
• Hands-on ServiceNow architecture, development, and governance experience across core modules.
• Experience owning and enforcing standards across integrations, data, AI, security, and UX.
• Experience creating enterprise architecture grade documentation and governance.
• Strong integration and data architecture background with APIs and event-driven patterns.
• 5 years architecting enterprise solutions spanning multiple systems.
• Experience delivering AI-enabled capabilities in enterprise settings.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.
• Proven ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills with stakeholders and leadership.
• No immigration sponsorship available for this position.
• ServiceNow CSA certification.
• CIS or CAD certifications.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and standards for the platform, including AI and security.
• Define solution blueprints, reference architectures, and technical standards; produce enterprise-grade documentation.
• Lead architecture reviews and decision-making across ServiceNow and enterprise systems.
• Drive technology strategy, roadmap, and governance for platform capabilities.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of architects and engineers.
• Partner with product and business teams to align the right solutions with the business problem.
