FedEx Freight in Portland, ME is seeking an office/customer service professional to handle administrative tasks and freight documentation in a fast-paced service center. You will assist customers, schedule pickups, and process shipments with accuracy and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, basic math ability, and experience with office equipment. Training, benefits, and a team-focused environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years general office experience preferred.
• One year customer service experience preferred.
• Previous transportation experience preferred.
• Strong phone and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn required computer systems/programs.

Responsibilities

• Handle administrative/clerical tasks including filing, copying, imaging, phones, data entry and mail/distribution.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Provide information and assist customers with pickup/delivery needs and service questions.
• Enter freight shipment data and generate/adjust freight bills.
• Coordinate freight pickups and drive-time appointments as needed.
• Assist customers by phone, email, and fax with inquiries and tracing shipments.
• Review Hours-of-Service logs for drivers and report discrepancies.
