Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 2 years general office experience preferred.
• 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• Previous transportation experience preferred.
• Strong phone and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn and use general office systems/programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative/clerical functions (files, copying, imaging, answering phones, data entry, mail distribution).
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Provide accurate information to customers, determine pick-up/delivery needs, and handle special handling requests.
• Enter freight shipment information into the system and generate/adjust freight bills.
• Assist customers via phone, e-mail, and/or fax with inquiries (tracking, quotes, billing).
• Make freight delivery appointments as required.
• Review Hours-of-Service logs and report discrepancies.
