Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking an administrative/customer service professional to support daily operations in the service center. You will handle documentation for freight movement, answer customer inquiries, and aid in scheduling pickups and deliveries.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, ability to handle confidential information, and collaboration with sales, operations, and other centers to meet customer needs. Hours and pay reflect operational requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years general office experience preferred.
• One year customer service experience preferred.
• Previous transportation experience preferred.
• Strong phone and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Typing/data entry skills required.
• PC experience with required systems/programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative/clerical functions: maintain files, copy, image, answer phones, data entry, mail distribution.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Provide accurate information to customers and determine pick-up/delivery needs; sell services and generate leads.
• Enter freight shipment information, status updates, and generate correct freight bills.
• Administer freight pick-up process as required.
• Assist customers via phone, e-mail, and fax with inquiries and tracing shipments.
