Job summary

Vertiv Corporation is seeking a Service Center Manager to provide business, managerial, and technical direction for the service center. This role supervises Business Administrators, Field Engineers, and Technicians, coordinates workflows, and serves as the primary customer liaison.

Qualifications

• Requires a graduate engineer with BSEE/BSME or equivalent; multiple pathways with years of experience specified.
• Strong communication, supervisory, organizational and management skills.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication with clients and management.
• Proficient with MS Word, internet research for standards/products, and operation of computer controlled test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily schedules for Field Engineers and Technicians and ensure equipment availability for jobs.
• Develop and review proposals, and review field personnel reports.
• Call on territory accounts and develop new ones; prepare and close proposals to meet orders and sales goals.
• Review field reports; approve contracts within authority; audit field jobs.
• Provide technical support to field personnel, sales engineers, and technical writers.
• Coordinate weekly invoicing and monthly status reports with the Business Administrator.
• Interview job applicants and coordinate technical training for field personnel.
• Review and revise field procedures; conduct safety meetings per policy.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and salary change recommendations.
• Lead Service Center meetings to improve communication and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with Sales Team and General Manager to promote new business.
• Maintain calibration of test equipment traceable to NIST; ensure compliance with safety policies.
