Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead the service center's business, management, and technical direction in Dayton, OH. You will supervise Field Engineers and Technicians, coordinate workflow, and serve as the primary customer liaison.

Maintain project progress and financials while promoting safe, effective operations. The role requires strong supervisory, budgeting, and contractual oversight skills, with relocation within the organization’s territory as needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical degree with supervisory exposure.
• Experience overseeing field engineers and technicians.
• Strong communication, organizational, and management skills.
• Willingness to relocate within the organization's territory.

Responsibilities

• Sales, profit, and quality accountability for the area operation.
• Review and sign contracts within authority limits.
• Collaborate with regional leaders to promote new business.
• Develop Area Profit Plan and review progress regularly.
• Lead management meetings to monitor progress and communication.
• Coordinate weekly invoicing and monthly status reports.
• Review and audit field jobs; supervise field personnel.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and salary decisions.
• Coordinate technical training and career development.
• Review field procedures and drive improvements.
• Interview job applicants and review proposals/reports.
