Job summary

Vertiv seeks an Operations Manager to provide business, managerial, and technical direction for the Service Center. You will supervise Field Engineers and Technicians, coordinate workflow, and act as a primary customer contact.

You will review contracts, promote new business, develop profit plans, and lead regular management meetings. Strong leadership, communication, and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate engineer or equivalent required with strong communication skills.
• Experience supervising field personnel and managing projects preferred.
• Ability to travel overnight as needed to cover field regions.
• Proficiency in document creation, reporting, and technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales, profit, and quality of the area operation.
• Review and sign contracts in line with Authority Limits.
• Collaborate with Region Director and Marketing to grow business.
• Develop Area Profit Plan and monitor progress regularly.
• Lead management meetings to improve communication and progress.
• Coordinate weekly invoicing and monthly status reports.
• Review and audit field jobs and supervise field staff.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and salary adjustments.
• Coordinate technical training and career development for staff.
• Review field procedures and propose improvements.
• Interview job applicants and develop proposals for field work.
