Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Service Center Supervisor in the United States to oversee field service engineers and support critical electrical infrastructure projects. You will supervise, train, and coordinate field teams while performing hands-on field work and complex troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of applicable Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent; nine years minimum similar work exp.
• High school education or equivalent; ten years minimum similar work experience.
• Factory certified on Core Vertiv (Liebert) UPS and related critical infrastructure products.
• Working knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution, Generators, Switchgear, Automatic Transfer Switches.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and OSHA/NFPA standards.
• Read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams and circuit flow diagrams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to provide technical assistance by phone.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 4-6 Service Center Field Service Engineers (CE's) and/or Field Service Technicians (FST's).
• Provide supervision, training and guidance for field service work in the area.
• Perform complex troubleshooting, specialized tests, inspections, and appraisals on electrical systems.
• Lead turnkey projects and power surveys; oversee job estimates, proposals, scheduling and reporting.
• Write detailed end-of-project reports and process billing.
• Interact with clients and support business development activities.
