Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a senior operations leader to provide business, managerial, and technical direction for our service center in the United States. This role supervises field engineers and technicians, schedules workflow, and maintains customer relations while tracking job progress and financial details.

The candidate will partner with regional leadership to promote growth, develop profit plans, and ensure safety and quality across field operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineer with BSEE or BSME and no experience.
• Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent.
• Experience in Industrial Service Industry.
• Strong communication, supervisory, organizational and management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication with clients and peers.
• Proficient with MS Word, templates, internet research and test equipment.
• Willing to travel overnight to cover field region and meetings.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the sales, profit, and quality of the area operation.
• Review and sign contracts consistent with Limits of Authority.
• Promote new business with Region Director, Regional Sales Manager and Marketing.
• Develop Area Profit Plan and review progress to keep Service Center on track.
• Hold regular management committee meetings to review business progress.
• Develop invoicing and monthly Status Reports with staff.
• Review and audit field jobs.
• Oversee supervision, safety and training of Field Engineers and Technicians.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and salary changes as needed.
• Coordinate technical training and career development for field personnel.
• Review and recommend field procedures and changes.
• Interview job applicants.
• Develop and review proposals and reports from field engineers.

BSEE or BSME
