Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead premier, highly complex infrastructure programs within the Transportation Business Group. You will direct multidisciplinary teams, advise clients on technical, regulatory, and financial facets, and drive program governance and delivery with accountability and transparency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Sciences, Planning, Business Administration or closely related field.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) or PMI PMP/PgMP or AICP/CCM certification.
• Minimum 10 years program management experience, with at least 4 years as a Senior Program Manager and three programs each ≥ $500M.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing presentation skills.
• Experience with alternative delivery methods: DB/DBFOM/CMAR and PMO collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity and non-technical aspects.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community facets; apply lessons learned.
• Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of program execution across multiple disciplines.
• Identify risks, propose solutions, and support timely decision-making with strategic guidance.
• Develop and implement program management plans, startup plans, and governance tools.
• Direct services of large program teams and promote clear internal and client communications.
