Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high complexity. You will advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects while directing multiple large teams.

The role emphasizes governance, risk management, and value delivery across HDR’s transportation projects. You will mentor staff, promote collaboration, and help expand HDR’s program management services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Sciences or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred in Engineering/Planning or related field.
• Professional certifications such as PMP/PgMP are valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects.
• Plan, direct, and monitor program execution across disciplines.
• Identify risks and provide strategic problem-solving for program delivery.
• Develop and implement program management plans and governance.
• Direct services by large program teams or mega-projects.
• Promote team alignment through clear communication.
• Ensure contract compliance and QA/QC against targets.
• Monitor financial performance and control costs.
• Grow HDR’s program management services with clients and staff.
