Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director-Transportation Business Group to lead pursuit and execution of major civil infrastructure projects.

You will drive approvals, coordinate with legal and risk teams, and guide regional leads to ensure successful delivery within HDR’s matrix structure. Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in engineering, a PE license, and a proven ability to manage client relationships, industry engagement, and large multi-disciplinary teams across

Qualifications

• PE License required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in related field.
• Experience leading large civil infrastructure projects.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Experience with development and management of client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Project Delivery Program Director and oversee the pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive the Alternative Delivery project approvals in compliance with HDR policy and procedure, the Matrix of Authority, the Alternative Delivery Policy and Risk Committee approvals.
• Coordinate with HDR Legal to establish and negotiate contract terms, in close coordination with Risk Committee input, for AD projects.
• Foster collaboration among Transportation Business Group leadership and Regional AD Leads regarding client discussions on upcoming AD projects.
• Facilitate recurring Transportation Leadership calls to discuss contractor relationships and HDR Matrix collaboration.
• Advise HDR leadership on commercial and technical trends in the Alternative Delivery industry.
• Cooperate with HDR members to maximize the strengths of the HDR matrix.
• Manage and inform the AD Regional Leads and Resource Manager to support AD projects.
• Negotiate teaming agreements, design service agreements and subcontracts with other engineering and construction entities.
• Engage with industry organizations to elevate HDR’s visibility in AD markets.
