HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director within the Transportation Business Group to lead major design-build and P3 projects.

You will direct project approvals, coordinate with HDR leadership and legal teams, and ensure successful delivery across regions. The role requires 15+ years of civil infrastructure experience, a PE license, and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with proven ability to manage large, multi-disciplinary teams and client relationships across public

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• Professional licensure (PE) required for leadership roles.
• 15+ years in large civil infrastructure design and delivery.
• Experience with design-build, P3, and alternative delivery.
• Strong client relationship development with public/private clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals per HDR policies and risk committees.
• Collaborate with HDR Leadership, Legal and Risk to establish terms.
• Coordinate with Transportation Business Group leadership and regional leads.
• Negotiate teaming agreements and subcontracts with other entities.
• Foster relationships with industry associations and HDR visibility.
• Report on AD status and drive continuous improvement.
• Travel up to 50% as required.
