Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternate Delivery Director-Transportation to lead pursuit and delivery of major civil infrastructure projects. You will coordinate policy, contracts, and risk with HDR Legal and leadership, and manage regional resources to ensure successful delivery.

Ideal candidates have a PE license, 15+ years of engineering leadership, and a proven track record in client relations and large programs. Travel up to 50% is required as part of this role.

Qualifications

• PE License required.
• Minimum 15+ years of professional engineering experience on large transportation infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading diverse teams and managing complex programs.
• Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships with public agencies and private entities.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director and oversee pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policy, authority matrices, and risk committee input.
• Collaborate with HDR Business Group Directors on policy, staffing, contracts, and terms.
• Coordinate with HDR Legal to establish and negotiate contract terms for AD projects.
• Engage Transportation Leadership on upcoming projects and contractor relationships.
• Lead recurring Transportation Leadership calls to ensure matrix collaboration across HDR regions.
• Provide advisory input on commercial and technical trends in Alternative Delivery.
• Help maximize HDR strengths across the matrix and support regional leads.
