Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director within the Transportation Business Group.

You will lead complex, large-scale transportation infrastructure projects, drive approvals, and coordinate contract terms with HDR Legal and Risk committees. You will collaborate across HDR leadership and regional leads, negotiating teaming agreements and subcontracts, while advancing industry partnerships and best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of professional engineering experience on large transportation projects.
• Experience in pursuit and execution of major infrastructure design and design management.
• Understanding of HDR matrix structure and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director and drive delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Lead project approvals in compliance with HDR policies and risk controls.
• Coordinate with HDR Legal, Risk Committee, and other stakeholders on contract terms.
• Foster collaboration across Transportation Business Group leadership and regional leads.
• Negotiate teaming agreements, design service agreements, and subcontracts with engineering and construction entities.
• Engage with industry associations to elevate HDR visibility in AD markets.
• Travel up to 50% of time.
