Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director to lead Transportation Business Group initiatives in the United States.

You will direct pursuit and delivery of large civil infrastructure projects, drive contract approvals, and coordinate with HDR policy, legal, and regional leads to ensure successful execution. You will advise leadership on commercial and technical trends, foster cross-team collaboration, and strengthen client relationships across public agencies and private

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
Minimum 10 years of professional engineering experience in large civil infrastructure projects.
Experience leading diverse teams and managing complex projects.
Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships with public agencies and private entities.
Strong understanding of HDR's matrix organization and project delivery methods.

Responsibilities

Report to the Project Delivery Program Director and oversee pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
Drive approvals under HDR policies and risk committee frameworks.
Coordinate with HDR leadership, legal, and regional delivery leads on terms, resources, and contracting.
Advise HDR leadership on industry trends in Alternative Delivery.
Foster HDR matrix collaboration across Areas, Regions, and Market Sectors.
Negotiate teaming agreements and subcontracts with engineering and construction entities.
Represent HDR in industry associations to elevate visibility in AD markets.
