Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery Team. This role offers flexible work arrangements, with the option to work remotely or from one of our offices across the South-Central region. You will lead high-voltage overhead transmission projects and mentor staff.

Responsibilities include design, planning, client interaction, scheduling, QA/QC, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams, with travel to client offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• 7–10 years of transmission design/management experience.
• PE licensure required.
• Strong knowledge of NESC, GO-95, and RUS standards.
• Proficient with PLS-CADD and transmission fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Commitment to safety and policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering of transmission projects up to 765 kV.
• Develop initial project layouts and schedules.
• Coordinate with clients and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Manage project meetings and communications.
• Support PM with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Mentor staff and support recruitment.
• Travel to client offices/field sites as needed.
