Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our Power Delivery Team. The role offers flexible work arrangements, including remote options and multiple office locations in the South-Central region.

You will lead technical efforts across the planning, design, and delivery of high-voltage overhead transmission projects. The successful candidate will have 10+ years in electrical transmission, a PE license, and strong experience with PLS-CADD, structure staking, and construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline; PE preferred.
• 10+ years of post-education experience in electrical transmission design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; multi-state preferred.
• Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD.
• Knowledge of NESC, RUS, and GO-95.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams across projects.
• Support QA/QC procedures and safety standards.
• Mentor junior staff and lead project teams of varying sizes.
• Travel to client offices/field sites as needed.
