Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our Power Delivery Team. This role offers flexible work arrangements, with the option to work remotely or from one of our offices across the South-Central region, including Houston, Austin or Ft Worth.

You will provide technical leadership for high‑voltage overhead transmission projects up to 765 kV, lead design efforts using PLS-CADD, coordinate with clients, manage schedules, and mentor junior staff while adhering to safety and

Qualifications

10+ years of post-education experience in electrical transmission design.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required (multi-state preferred).
Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
Strong command of English with good written and oral communication.
Experience with Microsoft Office software suite.
Commitment to workplace safety and company policies.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for planning, design and delivery of high‑voltage overhead transmission line projects.
Lead and coordinate project execution layouts, schedules and client interactions.
Ensure QA/QC adherence and safety standards across projects.
Mentor staff and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
Travel to client offices/field sites as needed and support business development.
