Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead high-voltage overhead projects across the South-Central region. The role supports planning, design, and delivery with a focus on technical excellence and client coordination.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in transmission engineering, a PE license, and strong PLS-CADD knowledge. Flexible work arrangements are available, including remote or office-based collaboration with clients and teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of post-education experience in electrical transmission design for power projects.
• Professional Engineer license required; multi-state preferred.
• Knowledge of NESC, RUS, and GO-95.
• Strong command of English with good written and verbal communication.
• Experience with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Develop initial project execution layouts and schedules.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams; manage project meetings.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence and process discipline across projects.
• Provide project forecasting and resource planning support.
• Mentor staff and support business development activities.
• Travel to client offices/field facilities as needed.
