Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission EPC Principal to lead pursuit and execution within our national Alternative Delivery leadership team. The role focuses on EPC projects in transmission design, coordinating with partners and HDR staff across multiple locations, with an emphasis on risk analysis, budget and schedule management.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering, PE license, PMP certification, and 10+ years in transmission design, with 5+ years of leading EPC teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Engineering License.
Project Management Professional (PMP).
10 years of experience in transmission design.
5 years building and leading engineering teams on EPC projects.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Pursuit Champion / Manager on Transmission EPC projects and transition to Project Manager upon award.
Lead scope, schedule and budget development for AD projects with multiple teams.
Coordinate with land survey, geotech, distribution, substation, environmental, real estate and GIS staff.
Develop FEED templates, standards, drawings and templates for EPC pursuits and projects.
Mentor and lead project managers, engineering managers and discipline practitioners.
