Job summary

HDR is seeking a national Transmission EPC Principal within our Power Delivery Practice to lead pursuit activities and transition projects into execution. You will coordinate with HDR’s engineers and construction partners, focusing on technical risk, routing, design, and BOM takeoffs for EPC opportunities.

The role requires a PE license, 10+ years in transmission design, and 5+ years leading EPC teams, with strong leadership and communication skills across remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pursuit Champion/Manager on Transmission EPC projects and transition to execution phase.
• Lead scope, schedule and budget development, with risk analysis alongside partners.
• Coordinate with land survey, geotech, GIS, environmental, real estate teams.
• Estimate technical investments prior to Go/No-Go discussions.
• Develop FEED templates, standards, drawings and processes for EPC pursuits.
