Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission EPC Principal to join the national Alternative Delivery leadership. The role focuses on pursuit leadership, technical bid development, and transitioning projects to execution with strong collaboration across HDR’s staff and partners.

A deep background in high‑voltage transmission design and EPC delivery is required. The position demands leading engineering teams, coordinating with survey, geotech, environmental, real estate and GIS experts, and guiding FEED

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering and PE license required.
10 years of transmission design experience; PMP is preferred.
Ability to lead engineering teams on EPC projects and manage scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities

Serve as Pursuit Champion/Manager on Transmission EPC projects and transition to execution teams.
Lead risk analysis discussions, provide value engineering and constructability solutions.
Develop scope, schedule and budgets for AD projects with cross‑functional coordination.
Interface with contractors and subconsultants during pursuits and projects to drive risk mitigation.
