Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission EPC Principal to lead pursuit efforts and manage engineering teams across EPC projects. This role focuses on risk analysis, design coordination, and value engineering within HDR's Alternative Delivery framework.

You will develop technical scopes, schedules, and budgets, collaborate with partners, and guide FEED activities while building front-end engineering capabilities for large-scale transmission projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering and PE license.
10+ years in transmission design with EPC project experience.
Experience leading engineering teams on EPC projects and FEED activities.

Responsibilities

Serve as Pursuit Champion / Manager on Transmission EPC projects and transition to execution teams.
Lead risk analysis, routing, BOM support, and value engineering with partners.
Develop scope, schedule and budgets for AD projects, coordinating with multiple teams.
Estimate technical investments and present risk evaluations to leadership.
Interface with contractors and subconsultants on pursuit and project phases.
Help build FEED teams and develop templates and standards for EPC pursuits.
