HDR is seeking a Transmission EPC Principal to join our national Alternative Delivery leadership team. You will drive pursuit, design and execution efforts for high‑voltage transmission EPC projects, coordinating with HDR's global power delivery staff and construction partners.

You will lead scope, schedule and budget development, assess risks, and mentor HDR teams across multiple locations. This role requires strong technical leadership and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• 10+ years in transmission design with EPC project leadership experience.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams on EPC projects; PMP certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Serve as Pursuit Champion/Manager on Transmission EPC projects and transition to project management after award.
• Lead risk analysis, preliminary routing, design and bill-of-material takeoff support with partners.
• Develop scope, schedule and budget for AD projects; coordinate with land survey, geotech, GIS staff.
• Estimate investments pre-Go/No-Go; share risk insights with leadership teams.
• Interface with contractors and subconsultants during pursuit and project execution.
• Contribute to FEED development and template/standard creation for EPC pursuits.
