Job summary

HDR is seeking a national Transmission EPC Principal within our Power Delivery Practice to lead pursuit activities, risk analysis and FEED development for EPC projects across the United States. This role focuses on coordinating with HDR leaders and construction partners to transition from pursuit to execution, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Electrical/Civil/Mechanical Eng, a PE license, PMP, and 10+ years in transmission design with

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Engineering License.
Project Management Professional (PMP).
10+ years experience in transmission design.
5+ years leading EPC project teams.
Experience developing EPC design and construction packages.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Pursuit Champion / Manager on Transmission EPC projects and transition to execution.
Lead risk analysis discussions and provide VE/constructability inputs.
Develop scope, schedule and budget for AD projects, coordinating with multiple teams.
Estimate investments pre Go/No-Go and share risk assessments with leadership.
Lead front-end engineering and design teams as the AD program grows.
Provide EPC best-practice guidance to pursuit and project delivery teams.
