Job summary

HDR seeks a Transmission EPC Principal to lead pursuit efforts and drive project delivery within our Power Delivery Practice. You will manage scope, schedule, and budgets, collaborating with design, construction, and geotechnical teams to advance EPC opportunities up to 500 kV.

This role supports HDR’s AD delivery models and requires strong leadership and communication skills. You will guide risk analysis, value engineering, and constructability reviews, while mentoring engineers across remote

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) is required.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transmission design.
• Minimum 5 years of experience building and leading engineering teams on EPC projects.
• Experience with EPC design and construction packages.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Pursuit Champion / Manager on Transmission EPC projects and transition to execution teams.
• Lead scope, schedule and budget development for AD projects and coordinate with land survey, geotech, GIS teams.
• Assist in Go/No-Go discussions, risk assessments, SOQs, proposals, interviews and negotiations.
• Develop front-end engineering and design (FEED) templates and standards for transmission EPC pursuits.
• Provide EPC best practice guidance to pursuit and project delivery teams.
