Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Telecom Engineer IV to provide Tier 3/4 support, engineering, testing, and deployment for the Enterprise Voice Team, including Voice Facilities, UCaaS Platform, and VOIP interface devices. The role also mentors junior team members.

You will engage in project design discussions, support project deployments, and explore new technologies with providers to enhance the voice platform while collaborating with internal IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• Associate's degree or equivalent with 10 years of Telecommunications experience required.
• 10+ years in Telecommunications with VOIP/TDM, PBX, Call Center Engineering responsibilities required.
• VoIP knowledge is important at an advanced level.
• PBX knowledge is important at an advanced level.
• Call center administration skills are important (advanced, preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 and 4 support including troubleshooting, issue isolation, resolution and root cause analysis.
• Participate in project design meetings with IT teams and business owners to scope engineering needs.
• Lead implementation, testing and deployment of Enterprise Voice components, coordinating with PMs and other IT departments.
• Pursue continuing education to stay updated on new platforms and features; evaluate new technologies with providers.
