Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Telecom Engineer IV to deliver Tier 3 and 4 support, engineering, testing and deployment for the Enterprise Voice Team, including Voice Facilities, UCaaS Platform, and VOIP devices. You will mentor junior colleagues and drive projects from design to deployment.

Responsibilities include leading troubleshooting, attending design reviews, collaborating with Project Managers, and staying current with new telecommunications technologies to enhance the voice platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
• Associate's degree or equivalent with 10 years’ experience in Telecommunications required.
• 10+ years in Telecommunications with VOIP/TDM, PBX, IT Project Management, IT Budgets, Call Center Engineering.
• VoIP knowledge is important (Advanced).
• PBX knowledge is important (Advanced).
• Call center administration skills (Advanced) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 and 4 support, engineering/design, testing and deployment for Enterprise Voice Team scope (Voice Facilities, UCaaS Platform, Phones and VOIP interface devices).
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for escalations and mentor junior team members.
• Attend project design meetings with IT teams and business owners to determine required engineering; collaborate with Project Manager for design, testing and deployment.
• Pursue relevant education to stay current with platform evolutions and explore new features with providers.
