Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Telecom Engineer IV to deliver Tier 3/4 support, engineering, testing, and deployment for the Enterprise Voice Team covering Voice Facilities, UCaaS, and VOIP devices. The role also involves mentoring junior teammates and coordinating with Project Managers.

Responsibilities include leading escalations, participating in project design, and ensuring smooth deployment across platforms. A strong telecom and VOIP background is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field, preferred.
• Associate's degree or equivalent with 10+ years of telecom experience, required.
• 10+ years in telecommunications with a focus on VOIP/TDM network routing, PBX support, IT PM, IT budgets, and Call Center engineering, required.
• VoIP knowledge is important, advanced level.
• PBX knowledge is important, advanced level.
• Call center administration skills important, advanced, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Tier 3 and 4 trouble escalations, leading troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Attend project design meetings with peers and business owners to determine required engineering and project success.
• Support projects from design through testing and deployment, interfacing with internal IT departments as needed.
• Pursue relevant education to stay abreast of new technologies for the Enterprise Voice Team and explore new features.
