Job summary

GovCIO is seeking aTechnical Writer to support VA HTMS contract, managing artifacts for senior leadership and ensuring QA of documents for VAMC personnel during EHR transitions. This role is fully remote within the United States with core hours 8am–5pm ET, Monday to Friday.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS with 5+ years of related experience, proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, Acrobat, and Agile methods, and experience on federal/VA projects. Clearance eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or commensurate experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience with UX software certifications or 5–7 years substituted for education.
• Experience within Enterprise VA projects or other federal agencies.
• Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience operating in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• W rite, rewrite and edit technical documentation and communications with graphics as needed.
• Translate complex issues into a clear narrative for leadership and staff.
• Apply editorial styles and maintain standards across documents.
• Develop ad hoc artifacts for executive VA leadership and other audiences.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop deliverables and processes.
• Draft accurate meeting minutes with short turnaround times.
• Support continuous improvement by refining artifacts shared with VAMC personnel.
