Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Technical Writer to support the VA Health Technology Management Services contract. The role manages artifacts for senior leadership and QA documents during the Electronic Health Record Transition.

This position is fully remote within the United States with core hours 8 am to 5 pm ET. The ideal candidate will translate complex information into clear narratives, apply editorial standards, and collaborate with VA subject-matter experts to produce precise deliverables and meeting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations Research or related fields with 5+ years of experience (or commensurate experience).
• 3-5 years of relevant experience with certifications in relevant UX software or 5 to 7 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education
• Experience within Enterprise VA projects or other federal agencies
• Advanced proficiency in core Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience operating in an agile environment

Responsibilities

• Writes, rewrites and edits technical documentation and team communications/artifacts with graphic design as needed.
• Translates complicated issues from multiple information sources into a clear narrative for senior leadership.
• Applies editorial styles and standards consistently across documentation.
• Develops ad hoc artifacts for executive VA leadership audiences.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts to develop comprehensive deliverables.
• Reviews documentation for quality of content and formatting.
• Supports the project manager in maintaining the communications plan and identifying improvements.
• Drafts accurate, succinct meeting minutes with short turnaround times.
