Job summary

GovCIO is currently hiring a Technical Writer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs Health Technology Management Services (HTMS) Contract. The role is fully remote within the United States with core hours 8 am to 5 pm ET, focusing on managing artifacts for senior leadership during the VA EHR transition.

The candidate will rewrite and edit technical documentation, craft concise narratives, apply editorial standards, and collaborate with SMEs to deliver high-quality materials, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Business Management, CS, IS, OR or related field.
• 5+ years of experience or commensurate experience.
• Experience on Enterprise VA projects or other federal agencies.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience operating in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Writes, rewrites and edits technical documentation and team communications with graphic design as needed.
• Translate complex issues into clear narratives for senior leadership.
• Apply editorial styles and standards consistently across documentation.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop comprehensive deliverables.
• Draft accurate meeting minutes with short turnaround times.
• Support continuous improvement of artifacts and communications during EHR transitions.
