Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Substation Technician -B to perform construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment with 4-6 years of experience. Work involves confined spaces, elevated areas, and travel to various locations, including other states as needed.

This non-exempt position requires safety discipline, the ability to coach crew members, and the capacity to work long hours during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must possess Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL).
• Must supply own personal hand tools required by the company for this work.
• Must supply own safety toed work boots.
• Must be capable of lifting in excess of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance or repair, testing and troubleshooting of substation equipment and systems.
• Interpret substation drawings (elevations, plans, sections) and communicate with customers and subordinates.
• Coach subordinates on the crew and develop material lists.
• Establish grade, elevations and layout of foundations and cable trough in new and existing stations.
