Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Substation Technician C to perform construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment and systems. The role requires work in confined spaces and at heights, with long hours during emergencies and up to 2-4 year experience in the field.

The position involves travel to various locations and potential travel to another state as demanded by customers. A CDL is often required, and 90% travel is typical.

Qualifications

• Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Must be capable of climbing and working at heights up to 125 feet.
• Must possess or be capable of obtaining a Commercial Drivers’ License.
• Must supply own personal tools and safety boots.
• Willing to travel up to 90% and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance or repair, testing, adjusting and troubleshooting of substation equipment/systems.
• Maintain company vehicles, test equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Work with energized high voltage systems safely and responsibly.
