Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. seeks a Substation Technician C to perform construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment across multiple locations. The role requires working in confined spaces and at heights, with frequent travel and potential overtime during emergencies.

Ideal candidates will have 2-4 years of relevant experience with 525 kV and below equipment, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or in teams while adhering to company standards.

Qualifications

• Physically capable of rigorous labor.
• Capable of climbing and working at heights up to 125 feet.
• Must possess or obtain a Commercial Driver's License.
• Must supply own personal hand tools for this work.
• Must supply safety-toed boots and be able to lift over 50 lbs.
• Willing to travel up to 90% and work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform construction, maintenance or repair of substation equipment/systems, including testing and troubleshooting.
• Support foundations, buswork, switchgear, terminations, transformers and control buildings.
• Maintain company vehicles, test equipment and tools in good condition.
• Work with energized high voltage systems, following safety rules and procedures.
